About Waste + Pollution theme - Create Change Through Design Exhibition
The waste + pollution theme addresses the need to minimize the waste and pollutants created by China. According to a World Bank report, China is projected to discard nearly 1.4 million tons of waste per day within two years, which is twice the amount expected to be generated by Americans (Schmitz, 2017).
China has gained notoriety as the world's largest plastic producer, having produced 80.1 million tons of plastic in 2022 (NBS, 2022). Therefore, China's role is critical in addressing the global plastic pollution crisis.
This exhibition presents multidisciplinary solutions proposed by participating designers.
 ECO INFINITEEco Infinite is determined in helping significantly cutting down the levels of waste and pollution specifically in China, as one of the largest manufacturers in the world currently producing extremely high levels of fast fashion and this is taking an detrimental toll on the environment.
